The Red Lion is a York real ale pub steeped in history, built and structured around original 13th Century wooden beams, with roaring open fireplaces and traditional rustic charm. As one of York's oldest pubs, we're sure it's seen its fair share of ghosts!

The open mic night has a very chilled out, intimate vibe with music at a mellow volume and a regular, friendly audience. All are welcome - so far we've been entertained by solo acoustic acts, acoustic bands, spoken word, comedy and magic. Every performer gets a free drink and we recommend trying some of the fantastic real ales.
